Abstract
The diffraction coefficient for a conducting wedge loaded with a cylindrical dielectric slab at the apex is derived from a boundary solution for an
-polarized plane incident wave on a slab of small electrical radius. The relative contribution of the dielectric is shown to be a small perturbation term which is free of singularities at the shadow boundaries.
