Abstract :
Optical pulses with time separation corresponding to bit rates of ~ 14 Gbit/s (NRZ) have been produced at ¿ = 1.32 ¿m with a Ti: LiNbO3 broadband travelling-wave directional coupler modulator driven by closely spaced, narrow electrical drive pulses. Resolvable optical pulses with as little as 100 ps separation have been generated.
