  • Abstract
    A simple and accurate method for measuring the chromatic dispersion of long spans of single-mode fibre in the vicinity of the minimum-dispersion wavelength is described. Agreement with Nd-YAG/Raman measurements is better than 0.5 ps/km nm within ±30 nm of ¿0. A summary of recent field results is also given.
