Shaped dual reflector synthesis

The author provides a brief nonmathematical description of what dual shaped reflectors are, what they can do, and how they are synthesized. They have been used for many years. A most notable recent example is the high gain antennas on Voyagers 1 and 2, which are pictured on the cover of this publication.
