Abstract
The Solar Power Satellite (SPS) presents some fascinating problems for engineers and scientists in many disciplines. Of particular interest to readers of this Newsletter are, of course, those concerned with the antenna and microwave aspects of SPS. Hence, this brief tutorial 6iscussion has beepnr epared to acquaintk nowledgeable readers with the fundamentals of power transfer through space by means oaf microwave beam.
