Abstract
Magnetic domain structures of ferrimagnetic garnet epilayers with tilted easy axis have been investigated by means of optical microscopy (Faraday effect). Vertical or horizontal lines, generation of line pairs, conversion of a horizontal line into two vertical lines are observed. Vertical lines are seen to be associated with kinks on the wall´s surface. A new kind of plane like magnetic structure has been observed. Its interaction with stripe heads is described and possible models of its structure are considered.
