Abstract :
This paper describes an important improvement for precise magnetic properties measurements on electrical sheet steels under deep saturation. It is a new feedback mode to control flux waveform in the magnetizing power source. By utilizing the new power source, core loss testing is performed with a very pure sine wave flux (the form factor of the induced voltage of an Epstein frame F=1.111 ±0.002, the distortion factor of the voltage DF≤1%) even at a peak value of induction up to 2 teslas. The principle, circuit diagram, experimental results and its analysis are presented.
