Abstract
A new microwave (37 GHz) filter-limiter containing two switching YBCO high-Tc superconductive film elements is presented. Its operating principle is based on the fast film switching from the superconducting (S) state to the normal conducting (N) state under microwave pulses. The measured switching time ( tau S-N), limited by the measuring electronics, was shorter than 2*10-1 ns, with theoretical value tau S-N-2 ns. For small levels of microwave pulse power (P<5 W) insertion losses L were less than 0.2 dB, for P=100-400 W and L>or=18 dB.
