Abstract
Eddy currents and induction are calculated analytically in an arrangement consisting of many tubular conductors, mutually external, enclosed in a tubular shell. Steady state sinusoidal currents are imposed through each conductor and through the shell. Conductivities and permeabilities are constant. This analysis can be applied in finding Joule heat or forces in gas-insulated cables and busbars for power transmission. Also the field screening due to a cable sheath can be calculated.
