Abstract :
The strong amplitude-phase coupling in a semiconductor laser is well known to induce an enhancement linewidth factor (1 + ¿2) It is shown that it also produces an enhancement of the injection locking bandwidth proportional to (1 + ¿2)1/2. The connection with the usual locking bandwidth derived from Adler´s equation is pointed out by considering the carrier dependence of the injected cavity resonance frequency.
