Abstract
The aim of this work is to rectify and expand upon an error analysis contained in a previous paper by Goldhirsh and Katz [1] dealing with the feasibility of estimating raindrop spectra using multiple wavelength radars. The revised error analysis demonstrates that radars operating at
band (
cm) and
band (
cm) may give rise to acceptable accuracies when used for the estimation of rain rate and liquid water content.
