Abstract :
A 100 GHz electrical clock signal was successfully recovered from a 100 Gbit/s RZ optical data stream using direct optical injection locking of a 100 GHz InP/InGaAs HPT oscillator. This is believed to be the highest clock frequency ever recovered using transistor-based ICs and the first report of 100 Gbit/s operation for transistor-based OEICs.
