Abstract :
Thin film SQUIDs were constructed in which the aspect ratios of metal lines were controlled, and in which there were no closed loops which couple to a uniform field. The SQUIDs were operated in uniform fields and shown to suitable for use within an integrated magnetic gradiometer system.
