It´s your job

This column addresses some aspect of what the IEEE has come to call "Professional Activities." The emphasis will be on the engineer in industry, as the vast majority of IEEE members are employed by industry. The topics focus on compensation, the rights and responsibilities of a professional engineer, and opportunities for self-improvement - in all of the meanings of this term. The authors plan to editorialize. The opinions expressed in this column are always the author\´s alone.
