Abstract :
The IEEE Standard Definitions of Terms for Antennas (IEEE Std. 145-1993) is badly in need of updating. This standard contributes directly to the IEEE Standard Terms volume and included in the definitions listed are descriptions of antenna types. At present, many antenna types are not described, which is the reason why the author is inviting interested individuals who want to contribute to the revision of the said standard. The paper provides guidelines for the revision of antenna definition standards.
