Abstract :
A model is constructed to evaluate the electronic conductance of an electron beam in double-gap coupling cavity resonator. The electronic conductance is studied both analytically and numerically. The analytical expression for the electronic conductance is derived based on the nonlinear space-charge wave theory, and it is also presented as a function of modulation coefficient in detail. It is shown that the analytic results of electronic conductance are in reasonable agreement with the numerical simulations. In addition, the simulated results of the beam susceptance are also given, and the results show that the change of susceptance with modulation coefficient is very small.
