Abstract :
Single crystal garnet films of composition (YSmCaLu)3(FeGe)5O12were implanted with 100 keV Ne+ ions with doses of 2×1014Ne+/cm2and 6×1014Ne+/cm2. After annealing at temperatures from 600 to 1000°C, the films were investigated by conversion electron Mössbauer spectroseopy (CEMS) at room temperature. It is shown that effects of ion implantation can be recovered completely by annealing at 1000°C. The average activation energies were estimated from changes in the hyperfine field after annealing.
