Abstract
The variation of Brillouin frequency shift with temperature provides a means of remote temperature sensing using an optical fibre both as the sensor and transmission medium. We employ optoelectronic three-wave-mixing on semi-insulating substrates for direct optical signal detection and demodulation. High resolution is expected for short range distributed temperature sensing
