Abstract :
The author discusses objectives and investment for urban distribution systems, and a strategy for the provision of electricity supplies to a developing city. The characteristic factors, system development and consumer categories are discussed. The author also discusses EHV/HV transformers and substations choice and location, the secondary distribution system, the HV/LV substations, and the LV supply system
