Abstract :
A new correlation algorithm, which combines filtering with correlation, is proposed to extract displacement fields for particle image velocimetry (PIV) and holographic particle velocimetry (HPV). In addition, an integrated circuit (IC) design is proposed to substitute for dedicated floating point processors used in PIV systems. This breakthrough eliminates dedicated processors from PIV
