Abstract
An experiment was carried out to simulate some magnetic effects produced by the large load current of an all iron core homopolar generator. In particular, the large magnetic field associated with this current is expected to redirect the machine flux and thus lower the terminal voltage. The experiment idealized this process so that it could be subjected to a theoretical analysis.
