Abstract :
A novel fibre-optic system using subcarrier transmission and reception of microwave signals is demonstrated. Error free transmission of a 50 Mbit/s amplitude shift keyed signal over 9 and 16 GHz microwave subcarriers is demonstrated for received optical powers ⩾-30.5 and -28.5 dBm, respectively
