Abstract :
Nylon-12 resin-bonded magnets are produced by extrusion and injection techniques. The value of (BH)maxhas been 11.1 MGOe for SmCo5and 12.3 MGOe for Sm2Co17type alloy. With the exception of (BH)max, overall performance such as moldability, magnetizing facility, running of the production machines and quality control homogeneity of magnetic powder are much better with SmCo5. These factors will reflect in the cost and overall quality of the products.
