Abstract :
Boundary conditions at surface distributions of doublets of electric current are considered in this work. It is shown that such current distributions can be treated as the superposition of a double plus a single layer of electric current, the latter being equivalent to a simple layer of magnetic current. Accordingly, it is shown that proper distributions of purely electric current can be specified over any given closed surface so that no fields are excited inside the volume bounded by the surface.
