Abstract :
The commenter states that there is no reason to perform the steady-state analysis as attempted by J. Shao and L.R. Lamberson (see ibid., vol.40, no.2, p.205-9, June 1991) for a Markov chain that has an absorbing failure state. Corrected expressions are provided.<>
