Abstract :
A new holographic method for microwave imaging through aberrating media is described. It consists of recording an "in line" hologram of the object through the aberration. The reference source, located on the object, is used also as compensating source, while the offset angle, necessary for a good optical reconstruction, is simulated by a suitable phase modulation of the reference beam. The recording is made by means of a scanning system. Preliminary tests are shown. The method seems to be particularly convenient for time-variant aberrations.
