Abstract
The formulation of a B-spline FEM (finite-element method) applicable for solving two-dimensional time-harmonic eddy-current field problems is presented. Due to the inherent properties of the spline interpolation functions, the accuracy of the potential functions and field vectors obtained in the entire field region by this method is substantially improved. It is shown that this method provides an effective approach for solving the eddy-current distribution in electromagnetic systems and its related fields such as temperature and stress fields
