Abstract :
A new two-stage preprocessor has been designed to upgrade the "Automesh- Lattice" mesh generators. The output is applied to the Winslow non- linear Poisson solver. Both cartesian and polar topologies are implemented. In addition, a self replicating block feature has been superposed so that resolution of closely spaced conductors is possible. Rapid problem definition is achieved by providing user diagnostics for mesh generation correction strategies, involving simple mesh density, grid assignment and smoothing controls. Further advances in solving algorithms and post-processing techniques are also described. These include inclusion of integral methods into both the solving and post-processing algorithms, and enhanced extraction of field and field harmonics.
