Processing of IF Television Signals in a Multistandard Environment

The reception technology of domestic receivers for the earth distributed T. V. signals has stabilized itself in a more or less standard pattern: a channel selector, provided with a mild selectivity, picks up a specific R.F. T.V. channel and converts it into an Intermediate Frequency signal. This signal is subsequently submitted to a main frequency selecting device, the I.F. selectivity, followed by an I.F. processor, whose output delivers the baseband composite video signal.
