  • Abstract
    The latest portable tape recorders must be more compact, light-weight, and operate on a lower power supply, no more than a single 1.5V dry battery. Some of the latest integrated circuits for play-only tape recorders can operate on a single 1.5V dry battery, but integrated circuits for record-and-play cassette tape recorders still require two such batteries.
