Abstract :
Two monolithic tuner circuits were developed to convert the desired TV-RF input channel of a VHF/ Hyperband to standard television IF for TV sets and set-top baseband converters. Not more than two switched bands are required for covering the complete frequency range of the 64 channels. Tracking is improved and local oscillator leakage is also reduced. The performance of CATV up/down converters is also improved if these ICs are used in the down-converter section.
