Abstract
The last decade has seen advances in the shaping and confinement of plasmas, and in approaches to noninductive current drive. Here, the author presents an overview of nuclear fusion advances between 1983-93 examining: fusion milestones; plasma shaping; bootstrap current; tokamaks; noninductive heating; current drives; ITER; and impurities control.<>
