Abstract
Recently R-DAT (A Rotary head Digital Audio Tape recorder) system have been attracted as a next generation of audio tape recorder. The R-DAT system realizes high quality sound and fast random accessing capability using Subcode data. Valid data cannot be obtained continuously because magnetic heads do not always trace a recorded track on a tape and the relative velocity between the heads and the recorded track changes when the tape runs fast. So an ingenious contrivance is necessary to read data stably.
