Abstract :
A scale model experiment on a tokamak first wall with several ports and a numerical analysis based on the T-method were conducted to simulate the eddy current induced in the first wall of a fusion reactor during plasma disruption. To measure the eddy current, a split ring type of probe was developed. Numerical results agree fairly well with the experimental ones, which indicates the good performance of the code and the measurement method and shows that the two-dimensional approach based on the T-method can successfully evaluate the eddy current induced in a three-dimensionally extended thin structure
