Abstract :
Surface energy distribution functions of commercial and experimental maghemite powders for audio tapes or floppy disks have been obtained from physisorption isotherms. These distributions have been related to the dispersivity of the powders in common solvents and to the magnetic properties of tapes and nonoriented drawdowns on PET films.
