Abstract :
The large-scale proliferation of wireless products both inside and outside the home-office environment has led to an increased demand for effective and cheap digital security schemes. Steganography refers to the art of sending secret messages camouflaged within a carrier message and is used in recent years for authentication, tamperproofing, covert communication and in-band captioning. Chaos based spread spectrum communication schemes that are inexpensive to produce, implementable using simple circuits configuration and operating at low power are useful in applications in the consumer electronics arena. A novel scheme of chaos based spread spectrum image steganography (CSSIS) involving the use of chaotic encryption and chaotic modulation in spread spectrum image steganography (SSIS) has been proposed. The scheme is tested on different test images and the simulation results are presented.
