Abstract :
A review of the design, construction, and operation of the EURATOM LCT coil as a contribution to the International Energy Agency (IEA) experiment, "The Large Coil Task," is presented. The test results obtained in the TOSKA facility at the Nuclear Research Center, Karlsruhe and in the International Fusion Superconducting Magnet Test Facility (IFSMTF) at Oak Ridge are summarized.
