Abstract :
A three-dimensional analysis of the eddy current distribution in a cylinder-type flux concentration apparatus is performed using a four-component finite-element calculation method. To solve the z-ward component of the eddy currents, a new model with multiple rims is proposed and the boundary conditions of the four components are discussed. It is shown that to obtain the three-dimensional flow of the eddy currents, the boundary conditions for the four variables must be selected carefully. Boundary conditions for the z-ward vector potential and the scalar potential are discussed
