Abstract
An expression for the fundamental solution of the axisymmetric modified Helmholtz equation is derived. This fundamental solution is then used to analyze several axisymmetric numerical models. The same models are also analyzed using the integral equation method (IEM), in which the fundamental solution of the Laplace equation is used. As an engineering problem, the boundary element method and the IEM are then applied to a boundary plasma sheath problem
