Abstract :
There are many design basis reconstitution programs in existence today, each guided by a locally generated design basis document writer´s guide. These guides usually provide the design basis document (DBD) writer with very precise instructions on how the information is to be presented and formatted. The guides also provide the writer with an outline of what design information needs to be included in the DBD. However, very little instruction is given on where or how to gather the required design information that is needed to write a system DBD. The purpose of this paper is to present a methodology for efficient retrieval of existing design information necessary for developing a system DBD
