Abstract :
Numerical solutions are obtained for the problem of radiation from an infinite planar array of cavity elements fed by garnet phase shifters which are integral parts of the elements. The phase shifter protrudes through the rear wall of the cavity, and the core material of the phase shifter protrudes past the end of the phaser housing for a better match. Additional internal matching is provided by irises located in the phase shifter housing. Experimental verification of the analysis and of the resulting computer program used for the design is presented in the form of waveguide simulator results.
