Abstract
The reflections from a perfectly conducting plane in sinusoidal vibration are evaluated. The incident wave is a time-harmonic plane wave at oblique incidence. The solution is essentially based upon expansions of the scattered fields in infinite series of evanescent, and propagating plane waves. The expressions obtained by this method are compared to the expressions obtained by the quasistationary method and to the expressions obtained by means of the special theory of relativity.
