Abstract :
It is well-known that there exists a unique shift l of the m-sequence S(k) such that the value of S0(k)=S(k+l) is only determined by the cyclotomic coset to which k belongs. A measure called the `coset correlation´ is introduced. It is proven that the shift l can be determined by the coset correlation
