  • Abstract
    A new configuration of allpass filters is proposed for designing multiband filters which approximate a piecewise-constant magnitude response. A procedure for deriving the individual allpass building blocks from elliptic filters is presented. A numerical procedure for approximating an equiripple response is also described.
