Abstract :
Careers in science and engineering entail interactions with professionals from many fields. Interdisciplinary work in graduate school - such as that found at UMBC´s Center for Interdisciplinary Research and Consulting - offer a way for students to gain experience with handling the challenges involved in these interactions.
