Abstract :
The wave impedance associated with a single conductor power transmission line is discussed. Computed results show that for power line carrier (PLC) frequencies and within the inductive field the magnitudes and phases of the impedance components Z_{r} and Z_{\\theta} approximate, respectively, average values of 60 and 365 \\Omega and -84\\deg and 0\\deg .
