Novel coordinate transformations for antenna applications

Coordinate transformations commonly encountered in antenna design and analysis are presented. The introduction of a new coordinate system, polarization coordinates, enables one to construct a complete flowchart which can be used to express any coordinate transformation matrix more directly and explicitly without going through the usual step-by-step derivation. Consequently, the computation procedure can often be greatly reduced by avoiding tedious manipulations.
