Abstract :
The development of a parallel version of the transient energy function method program on an IBM 3090-600E supercomputer is described. The step-by-step procedure for converting a sequential code to a parallel environment is detailed. The parallel code was tested on a 50 generator Ontario Hydro network. With six parallel processors, an elapsed time speedup of 5.36 was obtained
