Abstract :
A 16×8 regular matrix space switch operating at 2.24 Gbit/s transmission speed is demonstrated. The gigabit/second space switch was implemented in thick-film hybrid technology combined with dual-gate GaAs MESFETs. Control and memory logic were included.
