Energy in India

Although India has made rapid strides in the indigenous production of energy in the four decades since independence, the faster growth in consumption in the domestic agricultural and industrial sectors has widened the gap between demand and availability. In the next two decades, India will have to step up commercial energy production substantially. Production of energy using oil, coal, nuclear power and hydroelectric power is looked at
